For my father in law's funeral, only 5 months ago, we had Shut Up A Ya Face - I battled my husband on this as I put together the multimedia pres, but he and his 3 brothers insisted and when it came on at the end all 300 people present laughed heartily - it was a good lift.
For the first song, when everyone is milling in, we had the Rocky Theme which was pretty cool

There are alot of inappropriate ones. We don't think it was inappropriate, but my grandmother was mad that we played Don't Stop Dancing, by Creed at my moms funeral. We also played Far Away by Candlebox.
Here's a really innapropriate one:
I Love The Dead by Alice Cooper (necrophillia song)

"I'm looking for a new love" by Jody Watley.
Yeah, I know it's not a funeral song, but if it weren't so cruel to do, it'd be funny to hear that playing, I'd think. LIke for a comedy show or something where real people aren't going to be hurt?
Just an idea.
My opinion, but I like the idea the guy further up the top had of using "Highway To Hell". That'd be CLASSIC...lol.
How about "Who wants to live forever" by Queen? or "close my eyes forever" by Osbourne/Ford

Heh, based on sheer titles alone:
Let me Live- Queen (although, that is actually quite a sad song)
Alive- Pearl Jam
Exquisite Dead Guy- They Might Be Giants
I Will See You Tomorrow- Deacon Blue
Six Feet Under- No Doubt
Another One Bites the Dust- Queen (that's my personal favorite.)

"Stayin Alive" The Bee Gees- no need for a comment there
OR
"We've Only Just Begun"-The Carpenters
An extremely ironic AND extremely inappropriate song considering it's not only a love song about a happy couple "just beginning to live" but one being sung by a woman who died a tragic and premature death from anorexia.

Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd - my husband and I actually discussed what music would be appropriate at our own funerals and as a huge Pink Floyd fan he thought that this would be perfect!
