hi, i released some air accidently from a expansion vessle on a combi boiler, when i saw accidently i mean i didn't realise it had air in it as i was trying to find out why the boiler was cutting out after 3 mins. so is it dangerours what i have done?

don't touch things you don't know about, specialy gas appliances, if i was you call in an engineer

Not dangerous but you will probably notice a change in water pressure. The air pre-charge helps even out the pressure when you use the water. Simplified answer. If you did not let out much you may not notice it though as there is a range that it works best at, determined by the operating pressure and volume of the vessel, also known as an accumulator.

you need the air pressure in this device to control your system pressure. Its not dangerous but you sound like you will be calling a serviceman anyway so tell him what you did.
