The white man wanted to own the whole Country.
They didn't care that a race of people
was already living here.
They just put claim to the land, and killed
most of the Native Indians. :-(
Through Warfare, and disease.
Then they enslaved the Black race to
work the land.
The best reason to fight, is for Democracy.
Freedom of the people. Not to take
what the people had.
Sins of the father.

The real answer is because the indians "didn't matter" to the europeans. I'm sure there wasn't even a thought about those people until they figured out they could use them as spies and scouts against their enemies. Sad but true, any advanced culture disregards anyone that they don't see to be an equal.

Ultimately, Land, Wealth, Greed... The native population of America were predominately wiped out. The natives had no protection against deceases of their oppressors. When the ethnic tribes of the regions realised that their sources of food and lively hood was diminishing they fought back. One of the saddest outcomes 'The trail of tears' of a once proud nation of people.

* Christian Europeans saw Native Americans as 'heathen savages' who practiced evil magic and false religion.
* Easier to kill and conquer than understand and co-operate.
* Global Elite wanted to stamp out all 'indigenous' spiritualities and healing traditions eg Aborigines, Maoris & Aztecs.

that was not their intention when they got here....
but greed and tension soon started. with the delivery of diseases that the indians had no resistance too... this plague begun to remove them and they felt threatened and begun to fight for their survival....
and we brought guns too a knife fight... enough said.
actually, the first whites came to the Americas for no other reason then to be left alone and to live in freedom from "the Man" ..... we turned out too be the bad guy when given the chance we could have all been living in tribes as they were... short of the existing Indian tribes thumping each other on the head with rocks and all, it could have been an interesting mix...

Same reason they deliberately spread smallpox in Australia. Their morbid Christian faith allowed for the mass murder of humans who were not considered humans in the eye of the Church. Hitler did the same thing when he cremated millions of people. He first defined what it means to be a "pure" human and those who were not "pure" were not humans, thus justifying their slaughter, like animals. Lots of those kind of people amongst us to this day.
