I love when groups of carolers come by. It's one of my favorite things about Christmas. It makes me sad that not so many come by anymore as they used to 20-30 yrs ago.

The idea is nice, yet I often wonder what I would do while they were singing. Would I stand there and smile like some freak show with nothing better to do? Would I just leave my door open while they sang and did my own thing? I think the idea of caroling is nice, yet I don't think it is welcomed in today's society.

If anyone came to my house wanting to sing Christmas carols I would be a bit alarmed. I live in the country, so the fact that anyone would drive so far out just to sing to me would scream "Ted Bundy." I'm afraid I wouldn't like it very much unless it was a group of people I was familiar with, take for instance Dashboard Confessional. They're welcome to come entertain me anytime.

I wouldnt, but i think my pitbull would, besides.. who carolls in Compton California? If anything they'll probably gangster rap and break into my house...

so I'd doubt they try to get past that.

why not, some carols are actually pretty good, depending on who sings them.
also if they're not on my property what could i do about it.
