I have a dog and 7 cats and I am having a terrible problems with fleas. I have always used frontline plus, and it has worked well until a few months ago. Any suggestions on what else I can use?

I have given baths with flea shampoo, and flea collars are useless on anything but the neck area.

You're dead right about flea collars, well done.
If you're bathing with flea shampoo, possibly you're inactivating the Frontline - you have to wait 48 hours after bathing before you can apply it, and you can't bath after applying is, for 48 hours.
There's also a possibility the fleas have become resistant to the Frontline. I don't know how often this actually happens, probably not as often as people think, but it is a possibility. I therefore suggest switching to one of the other veterinary spot-ons like Revolution or Advantage, since they are all different chemicals that your fleas won't have been exposed to before.
You may also need to spray your house. Frontline Plus kills flea eggs and larvae on your animal but if fleas are coming in from the outside Frontline can't stop these breeding in your home. You need to protect the house as well.

Wash with flea shampoo first and clean them well, then put that medicine Frontline second, because you wont be able to wash them after a while if you put the medicine first. Put medicine on thier neck and make a trail on their back.

u can get the dogs a flea collar and disinfect the house with a flea killing disinfectant... u also can ask ur vet on what kind of medicines would be good to use besides the one ur using cuz its not working according to u... well i hope i was some help :)

I give my dog a pill that kills the eggs. slept my mind what its called but it works great. ask your vet.

...Boric-Acid Powder... it's inexpensive and works great (bugs hate it)... you can put on the animals and on the people and on the rugs and on whatever you want....
