and eat right handed. I grab for the sink faucet handles with my left and get too much hot water often. I never turn the sink on with my right. I type fine both hands. I grab doorknobs left.
How would you decide what handed I am...many ppl tell me I seem left handed to them. Grandma said I started out left handed. I say I just write with my right hand copying mama and grandma who are righties. My cousin was left handed until she injured her left hand. I didn't know that because we were raised in two different states and only met after 21.
We happened to be discussing hands after both of us fell and hurt our hands two weeks apart.

How can I know if I'm left handed? That is the one I hurt.

I do everything right handed except write. I don't think it matters. Just do what comes naturally. It might have to do with what side of the brain you favor as your left brain controls your right side and visa versa. Each side of the brain controls different brain functions. Unfortunately we live in a right handed world and a lot of stuff is designed for right handed people.

Usually a persons' leg, opposite from the side they write with, is slightly longer (1/8 to 1/4 in.) Whichever leg is longer opposite side, and that is your main hand.

Whichever hand you write best with, that is generally 'your hand'.
When you pick up a pencil or pen, the hand you sign your checks with - that's what hand you are.
If you can write equally well with both hands, they call that 'ambidextrous'.

People are not always either right or left handed., It sounds to me like you are ambidextrious, so like both of your hands are the same strength. One of my good friends is ambidextrious. I wish I was.
