to tell your closest friends that you like to fool around with men without making them think you are after them?

well first of all dont put it that you like "to fool around" with men.
makes you seem like you;d want to do it with every guy you came across.

sit them down, coffee? casual dinner?
and tell them you think you may have feelings for people of the same sex.
and tell them that you know them too well as a friend and you arent attracted to them, so there is no need to feel awkward.

if they are true friends, then they'll understand.
if not then theres always some one out there that will accept you and be your friend for who you are.
not for who you decide to love.

First off you should try and find out their feelings on homosexuality and then take it from there. Tell them that they are your friends and you're not interested in them in any sexual way and that you hope it doesn't affect your relationship with them. Some people aren't very open-minded. tell them bluntly your gay/bi and dont go into detail of who you've messed around with...it scares straight guys. cleary tell him "your a great friend but your definitely not my kind of guy. it will be like doing my dog, you love it but you dont want to have sex with it."
