I was wondering about the drive from Los Angeles To Phoenix... I was wondering if there is anyone (reading) who has made this drive and if it is difficult.

It seems like I would have to cross over mountains and go through quite a bit of empty desert (according to a satellite map). Is This true? And with me planning to begin this trip during the 28th of December should i be worried about weather conditions if I do have to cross mountains? Thanks, Lance
