i don't watch oprah for several reasons. first of all i am not black so i don't need her for a role model, second of all i am already a strong female so i don't need her for a role model. also i think by supporting obama she has proven to be a racist in the same league as jesse jackson and al sharpton. it's funny how you see a white person supporting a person of color but you won't see an african american supporting a white person if there is an african american to support. oprah has no business in politics. she is just using her influence to sway the black voter. her show is a constant barrage of blah blah blah.

Not at all. About the only good thing about Oprah's influence on the american public is that she inspires people who should be literate anyway, to read. I read on my own...and personally, I think Oprah is secretly somehow reading my mind cause her book club picks, often times are something I've already read and have recommended. No will read until Oprah says so.

Totally agree with you. She actually used to be a legitimate journalist. Now she's all glitzed and glam with all the millions, and only uses her medium to either bring revenue for products she hawks or to propogate her friends and get them rolling in the dough. It's all a $$$ thing now and doesn't she just love all the women screaming in the audience when she gives products away on the show. Who says you can't buy love? Obama thinks he can gain support only be her endorsement. People would have to be dumb as rocks to be bought like that

When i watch it i find her either too overly sweet with her guests and telling them how much she loved their movie or their album etc or she knocks them down so everyone can hear her views and opinions! I agree she wants publicity by giving away houses, cars and holidays but there is prob a part of her that cares.

Of course we care about Oprah. She's a human being and doing a great job in communicating things in an entertaining way to make life easier and keep us informed. I admit at times she does like to pat herself on the back, but heh, why not? She can afford to.
