Ha! That's a funny phrase isn't it? I think of dirty thoughts when I hear that term but my mine often wanders down that road.
Lickety = what my happy dogs do.
Split = Something I could never do even when I was nimble.

Yes, I am very, very good at eating an ice cream cone 'lickety split' because they are soooo yummy!

I can often do pronto, have managed tout suite on occasion but lickety split.... never.
