I've had several people tell me that I look like a "Brian". I'm wondering what a "Brian" looks like ?

I also associate colors with names. When I hear the name Randy, I think "orange". Mary is always "red". Charlie is "brown". Sally is "yellow". Strange, I know.

I do love the name Brian !
I'm fortunate that I like the name I was given. It was a complete serendipity, since my parents had no name picked out for me. So they asked the midwife what her name was, and said they'd call me after her. Thankfully, she didn't have an awful name, and so I was dubbed Stella.
For many years, the only time anyone would say they'd heard of the name, was when someone would say "My great-aunt....grandmother........was called that" ! Not very exciting ! But then, I think it was Paul McCartney who broke the drought and called his daughter Stella. Then a lot of celebrities started using it, and I see it in the birth columns in the papers quite often now.
Lucky, too, that Paul's daughter became a clothing designer, and now she has a range of perfumes available. I bought some, love it, and its now my favourite scent. How nice to have such a lovely thing with my name on it !

I have a friend who changed her given name to a longer form of the name that her parents gave her. I still think of her in terms of the name that she used when I met her, years ago. It annoys her when I forget to call her the new name, but I do my best.
My sister had an acquaintance who always called her a certain name, although it's nowhere close to my sister's name. Every time the lady called her the other name, my sister corrected her, and the lady said, "Well, you look like a ___ to me!" My sister grew to like the new name, and adopted it for use in her email address.
I like my both my first and middle names, although my family has always called me by my middle name. Only within the past several years have I understood the meanings of my names, and I like them more than ever now. A person's name often reveals their character, their potential, or their purpose. I am "she who reaps" because "God is gracious." I wouldn't wish to change my names.
While Brian is nice, you may find that you love the names that your parents gave you at birth, once you study and understand their meanings.

I hated my name as a kid -- always getting teased: "Where's Romeo?" And people in Texas can't pronounce Juliet ("Joo-yit"). As I've grown older, I like it and have been using it for a while now instead of Julie, which is what my folks always called me.
My brother's name is Brian. That's what a Brian looks like to me.
That's cool about the colors. What color is Juliet?

Like any teenager, I didn't like my name, and it was one of the common names of the day (Carol). There was always another Carol in my class. I thought my name should have been my middle name, Joan. People who forgot my name would often call me that, even though they didn't know it was my middle name. Strange, eh? Now I love my name, because it isn't common anymore and has a lovely meaning. If I chose a pseudonym, it would be Joan.

I have always loved my name - Julia. But if I changed it, it would be Maria, or maybe Violetta, from LaBoheme, or - "Mountain Girl"!!! My heart is in the mountains. Now, here is the name of an acquaintance, and I LOVE it - "Maria Sangria"! Clever!

Well I like the full name Patricia but it got shortened to Patty in school and that led to cow patty, peppermint patty, fatty patty and all kinds of name calling. I would not change it now.

I did not like the name that I was given at birth so I "changed" it my self. I won't say what it is here, but for those of you that do know me, know what I call my self and that is short for my real name. So you folks that do know my real name now, please don't ever call me by my real name. There are very few folks that get to call me by my real name, my parents are 2 of them of course.

I LOVE my name, which is rare, but I do!!! I was born 5 days before Christmas, so what else could my parents call me but ANGELA?
I prefer to be called Angie, which most people do. I used to hate my middle name (Violet) but it seems to be coming back in fashion now, so I don't feel so badly about it now.
