Both songs are really very interesting because they have different contents or meaning in it......
Silent Night, is a christmas song that speaks of the holiness of the night and how people should celebrate this ocassion
in a manner of praying, remembering the first night when jesus, the holy child was born.
A time when family members should meet and spend this memorable occasion together....
Jingle bells, talks of joy, a celebration that everybody should join as in dancing, singing , giving gifts..... laughter and anything .
Well, this is just my personal opinion basing of experience.....

Otherwise, Silent Night is better.
