Yes. She should have shown her discretion. All the while she pretended as if she is espousing women's cause and come primaries, she has shown her true colors to pull down Hillary another woman for the sake of her kin. They say ' Blood is thicker than water', but here it seems 'skin color is more dearer than gender'. Let women go to ....

I think Oprah has the right as any citizen of this country to support a candidate. Considering she is careful about things like that, I would say she knows something we all don't have a full grasp of...he is a good guy with potential as president.
Obama has a very powerful and popular woman in his corner now, that is a bonus and will most likely increase his poll ratings.
I saw her interview him and his wife on O's show and have heard him in sound bites on the news, seems pretty promising to me. Time will tell for all of the candidates, we still have a long way to go before elections.

My views of Oprah has changed only in that i have gained more respect for her. She is standing up for what she believes is right and is showing great support for a much more positive change to the American society. Obama represents a positive change for our country, and after this regime of economic downfalls, increased cost of living, and a war that only benefits the filthy rich, I'd say it'a time for a new government of and actually for the people. Yeh Oprah!

Yes.....I think she is even more ignorant than I thought she was before. Unlike some of her " flock "....I have never read any of the books that has endorsed & I will not vote for the Candidate that she has endorsed.-- Oprah's endorsement of Obama may backfire & cause some of her " flock " to actually start thinking for themselves which would probably cause Oprah's ratings to decline & hurt Obama in the polls.--Sadly; I think Oprah views many of her fans as zombies who are under her control.-----I am curious; however; as to why Oprah has dislayed this sudden, rabid, aggressive endorsement & concern in backing Obama as a Presidential Candidate when she has NEVER expressed ANY interest in ANY prior Presidential Race ???

I think her fan base and ratings will remain the same.
I think Barack Obama will see a momentary bump in his polls, after that it's up to him to maintain that momentum.
I bothers me that many people say that Oprah's endorsing Obama because he is black. Chuck Norris endorsed Mike Huckabee and no one is saying he endorsed him because he is white.

I don't think this will effect her ratings either way. I do think her support has helped Barack Obama. It improved my opinion of her, but then, I'm an Obama supporter. I still won't watch her TV show, though (nothing against her, I just don't watch much TV).

I went to the SC rally and watched Oprah-bama. It was very motivating and inspiring. Many undecided decided that day to vote for Obama. I didn't really care for her before but now I kinda like her sense of conviction.

No, I can take or leave Oprah. While she had done some awesome things and gives soooo much to charity, she seems incredibly egocentric to me. But I applaud her for showing her support for her candidate, and yes, I think it has helped him in the polls.

i have never been an oprah lover. she does some good stuff, but i just can't like her. obama has definately been helped by her, even though her speech in his behalf made no sense to me when i listened to it carefully. just a lot of rhetoric with no substance.

Yes. I find it too suspicious that she has never endorsed a presidential candidate before - and suddenly when Obama could be the first "black" president, she is running around the country trying to get him elected. I think race has a lot to do with it.
