Because he took time out of his busy schedule to torture dogs who were obviously working for Al-Qaeda. He is a great American, a great human being, and a patriot. This trial was a ploy by the U.S. Government to allow Michael Vick to continue to interrogate terrorist canine units in secret under the guise of "being in prison." I cannot believe anyone with any conscience would consider this a serious question. Everybody does make mistakes. But in watching interviews with Vicks former teammates, I see where he had many people warn him about surrounding himself with the wrong kind of people. That is not to say a person should abandon all his old friends when he reaches the top, but he should learn to listen to advice and make good decisions. Micheal Vick did neither one. He has consistently lied to his coaches, teammates, and the owner of the Falcons. But after serving his prison sentence, I feel that he should be allowed to try his luck in the NFL again if there are any owners who will be willing to take a chance on him. It would be hard to trust him after all the lies. But our legal system has a basis in paying for your sins and getting another chance.

america loves watching a good ol' fashion train wreck. just look at americas fascination with all those female cause celeb train wrecks who are constantly in some kind of silly trouble. the mike vick dog fighting fiasco was, and is, a major train wreck. now that he's on ice for awhile, we can all move on to the next locomotive breakdown. step right on up big headed barry bonds! aye aye aye.....

Michael Vick is the lowest form of life... anyone who abuses, tortures and kills innocent animals, is lower than scum. He doesn't even have the right to call him self a human being.

Because he takes the attention off of people like drew peterson and OJ simpson and many other wife killers child abusers and drug addicts. A man can be sexual predator and not serve the jail time Michael vick is serving but thats ok right? there not dogs they are just kids(sarcasm) If organizations like PETA would put their energy into bringing attention to the horrific things that some parents do to their childern think how we would prosecute those peolple, but no an animal that has no soul is worth more than an innocent child. As Mike Gundy would say Yall people that make Mike Vick look like a serial killer make me want to puke
