Murli = Chucker = Less Money
Warn = Traditional leg spinner = More Money

I think part of that is because Warne is not from the region - it will always cost more to bring in a player from Australia, England, SA etc compared to someone from the Indian subcontinent. It is more difficult for them to stay and play there. Also, Warne is retired, they have to pay him to come out of retirement and play again - plus more people want to see Warne as he is retired and they can't just turn on their TV and watch him play for his country, like they can with Murali. I don't think it's saying that Warne is considered better than Murali.

One thing I do think is kind of sad though, is we're talking about these sums in cricket as though it's huge money, but soccer players in Europe can earn that much every week or two weeks, all through the year - yet that is how much is offered to two all-time cricket legends.

One thing I make out from this is Warne is greedy whereas Murali is not. As has been pointed out, the cost effect of bringing players from different regions has to be taken into account. Last but not least, as someone has pointed, it's sad that BCCI is shelling out huge amounts on retired cricketers just to compete with ICL. BCCI would do well to do something for the poor & downtrodden in the country through cricket.

While the offer of $ 400000 for Warne has been made public, the offer for Murali has not yet been made public. If they are offering only 250,000 to Murali it is disgraceful and quite unfair to him.

There is no doubt that Shane Warne is a genuine spinner and Murali is a controversial. I think this is obvious to the world.

Murali is now playing for Srilanka as a International Player..

But Warne retired and not playing for International Matches..

So Murali will not look the IPL as important and will be concentrating on International Matches..
And He will not be giving his full efforts to it..

Whereas Warne in not committed to any other thing so he will give full efforts to it..

It means that Indians are rolling rich and are willing to part with the hard earned money of the public, without their approval, and give then to foreigners, but not willing to give it to those poor and needy people who are dying from the cold every day.
