I have been married for only a few months & I already find myself having a competition with my husband's games. I am at this stage where I am begginf my husband to spend time with me. He rather sit in front of the playstation & play for hours instead of us spending time together. I am tired of begging him for his attention. He should know his responsiblilties, etc. I don't mind him paying 1 or 2 hrs during the weekends but 7 hrs on 1 day of the weekend, I think that is a bit too much.
And when I do remind him that its too much now, he will give me the 5mins story or he is almost done & after asking him for the 10th time now, when he finally puts the computer or PS off, he is all moody.
All I want to do is spend time with my husband but he rather be spending that time with his games. Should I be begging for my husband's attention it this way

well he is 33 years. And yes I have tried playing with him before & we had fun, but I get the impression he would rather be playing on his own. While we were dating, yes I knew he was into games, etc but not as crazy as this. We time together used to be always first. When we were dating we used to fill our time with so many other exciting things

Funny how you just went ahead and married him even though you knew he was a gamer. Of course, you can't blame yourself, right? It is not your fault because you thought you could change him. Somehow, it is his fault for doing something he was doing before he met you. Sheesh.
Lady, he didn't just start gaming and you know it. Be honest with yourself and look in the mirror. Did you make the right decision? Either join him or start looking into an annulment before it is too late.
Edit: Again, this proves you really didn't know him before you got married beacuse he was always this crazy about games. The times you weren't together, what do you think he was doing? The worse thing you can do is nag because it will drive a stake between you too. You'll need to do something else to pique his interest. Another attention getter might be hitting the clubs by yourself. If he cares at all, he'll be following you in there so people don't think you are available. You both need to have a serious adult discussion about "needs being met." Good luck, miss. :-)

take up a hobby of your own. You begging for his attention will only make him play more. If you tell him that you will be going out with your girlfriends shopping, or to a spa while he is playing, watch how quick he turns that computer/ps2 off. you know the saying "you want what you cant have" - fits perfectly here....he knows your in the room next to him!

I am sure this is nothing new....I bet he did this while you were dating. If he did why are you acting surprised? I bet you thought you could change him and make him spend more time with you but I have bad news. Women go into a marriage thinking that their man will change and men expect that their women will stay the same. Both are wrong.

Why don't you ask him to find some multiplayer games and play with him?
The same thing happened to me and I just started playing video games with him and we have a good time together.
COMPROMISE.

hehe, this is funny because thats how I found yahoo answers, my husband was playing video games and I was looking for a way to kill time.
P.S. walking into the room naked works great to grab there attention while they are playing a game.

did you see this problem b4 you married him. yeah, you probably thought it was cute of him and you could break him and mold him into what you want in a hubby.
good luck, it doesn't work that way.
rip the thing out of the wall. wlk in front of him nude and see if you get a reaction. tell him he sucks at the games for all the time he plays them. go out with your friends and if he gets mad, he is a hypocrite. waltz in with another dude one night.

Have you tried walking into the room where he's playing games naked? He'll probably pay attention to you then!

look, i play the ps2 also. but i don't believe you should have to beg for attention. how old is he anyway? if i had a wife, there's no way she would have to beg for attention.
