{note to questioner and viewers} "I realized my previous posted-answer had a biting-sarcastic-tone, and hope the asker will accept this public apology, along with any viewers I may have offended by using such sarcasm. I believe it was this questioner, I posted my first answer to, and for that I am greatful. Looking forward to further dialouge, if you so choose. What follows is a self-edited version with hopefully all the elements of biting-sarcasm removed."

It's a clever way to word a question, but one concept were not considering is that conflict co-exists, even within the presence of, peace.

Conflict can range from a game of monopoly(the board-game or Donald-Trump style) to the 'war' in Iraq. Yes war and violence, I would have to say involve conflict, but when you only look at one extreme end of the thermometer, you leave out the larger and greater Reality that never makes the 6 o'clock news.

This greater reality may be boring or less interesting as the war in Iraq or someone winning the lottery , but that doesn't make it non-existent.

Consider the plane-crash scare we had a few-years ago, and how the news would report several crashes daily for weeks..........but......did you ever consider the million people that landed safely that same day in the other 100,000 planes that took off and landed???

My Point? Yes, yes right away.....Peace wether we like it or not is in the very presence of our daily conflicts.....weather a boardgame, argument, or loss of a family member. Peace isn't the abscence of Conflict; it's the dance we partake in the ballroom of Conflict; where the result is win/win for everyone involved. No matter how many times we change partners, or how many trips we take around the dance floor. Peace thru conflict not peace without conflict.

The way the govonments run themselves is the main reason for conflict as the popular answer. The gov of the USA and other big countries are currently acting like the people are supposed to work for them when in fact it is the other way around. The gov should give people pure freedom and provide for just the, police, hospitals, public works and Army. Citizens should decide how they want their children educated. Not the government. Absolute Freedom for all peoples with the government purely working to give to the people all the money that is now tied up in wars. ( 1 trillion is what we have spent so far.) If this money went straight to the people, hospitals, universities and housing projects this country would undergo a reneassance of good living. Vote Colton Kizzire in 2008 and these ideas may be realized. Hope this helps.

in the ideal world, sin would not exist. conflict would not be necessary for truth to be found.
people wish for peace, but don't know how to get there. they point the finger on those who cause conflict, in an effort to make peace.
what needs to be done is for everyone to let conflict partake, and argue in a constructive way instead of calling names & placing the blame on conflictive people.
"blessed are the peace-makers". not those who run away from peace. conflict is necesary for peace.

We wish for peace but to really have peace is hard work on ourselves, plus often not so easy, as most people lack the "wisdom" to act in a way which promotes and helps to keep peace. So it is not enough to wish for peace but we need to learn how to establish peace and this is where it is lacking all over the place. Be it in private life and also in public life. Good question.

Not everyone wishes for peace of course. but conflict doesn't necessarily answer out ?? like Iraq for instance the military was sent over there to find weapons of mass destruction at first and now its to solve peace. nothing was answered in that conflict nothing important at least. and we have solved very little. another answer is that sometimes the conflict isn't worth the answer.

Hey, we're just following man's destructive course as God prophesied we would. We cry:Peace, peace, peace, and all we hear about are wars and rumours of wars.
When world peace does finally arrive we will have but a short period of time to enjoy it. Then, the final end time conflict spoken of in the Bible will come to pass as written.

Because everyone doesn't want peace? I suppose they don't feel responsible for creating peace and don't see that if everyone, starting with themselves, were peaceful, there'd be peace.

Your answer is in the response from dsgsdgfs S. This is the reason we cannot live in peace. For him to say "you are an idiot" is self explanatory.

Edit: his answer was on here when i posted mine. Oh well

it is already glaring that Jesus isn't devil. a house divided against itself won't be able to stand as Jesus taught in gospel of Mark 3. He became into responding to the scribes accussing Him of having a demon. Secondly demons desire human beings to do their grimy artwork; so no they are not better than somebody who rejects evil.
