I ended a pretty easy wrestling practice today at 125.3 pounds. My tourney is tommorow and the weigh ins are at about 8 or so. If i dont eat breakfast before the tourney tommorow will I be on weight. So I guess my real question is, do I lose weight from the transition of falling asleep and waking up. (if so how much)?

Overnight, your body will consume some sugars and fats which will reduce your weight somewhat. You will also lose some water through perspiration. Assuming you use the bathroom first thing in the morning that will discharge additional fluids.

As noted by other answers, those changes will reduce your weight by a small amount. If you are close to making weight (within a pound) that might do it. If you are more than 2 pounds over the weight limit, you probably should resign yourself to not making weight. Attempts to induce sudden dramatic weight loss is not good for your health and development. You and your doctor need to figure out what your appropriate weight on a regular, monthly basis. Depending where you are in your development, you and your coach may just have to accept that you are going to move up a class or two before the end of the season.

Wrestling Tips To Lose Weight

Its bad to loose that much in that short of a time. its possible but you would gain it back. what you need to do is to loose it over a couple of weeks even if it means wrestling at a different weight for a week or two. Make sure you watch what you eat and the wrestling practices should be enough. if you want you can go running after but if you are wanting to wrestle around 135 you need to be about 137-138 because you can easily loose 2-3 lbs in a night for the weigh in. Then the night before just do the bags and loose the water weight.

Ok when you are sleeping you lose 650 calories. If you don't eat before bed and wake up and don't eat you will lose a few pounds. Usually right when you wake up and go way yourself, you are a couple pounds less then your real weight. So don't eat anything tonight or in the morning and you will be fine. Also in the morning if you still need to lose some weight, put on as many layers of clothes that you can. Like hoodies and sweats and all that. Then go run for about 10 min or more and you will lose a lot more weight from sweating. Believe me it works a lot. A lot of wrestlers do this right before weigh in.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Yes you can.. When you sleep your body is still functioning, known as the catabolic state, your body feeds on nutrients while you are asleep..it is very posible to lose weight while you are sleeping..If you dont want to lose weight eat before bed or take a protein shake so your body can feed on for 8 hours.
