A case of rape or incest is good reason for an abortion. All other cases, I think should be banned. Women who turn up pregnant & simply want an easy way out , I say tuff sh*t. You should have kept your legs together not up in the air. You should have been smart enough to spend 50 cents on a condom.

There are only a few reasons anyone SHOULD get an abortion:
A) Rape
B) Incest
C) The mother is going to die during pregnancy
D) The baby is going to die in labor
E) Both the mom and baby will die if the mom stays pregnant
That's all though. Any other reason is childish and a sleezy way to get out of being irresponsible. There are tons of people waiting to adopt. That's the mature way to handle your irresponsibility.

Abortion is valid when both the life of the mother and child are in jeopardy. Abortion is also valid when the pregnancy was a result of a rape.

Rape. If the female is raped--she might consider an abortion.
Medical reasons--it might be a matter of life or death for the female if she should carry the fetus
Just did not want to have children but did not use birth control
Maybe 13 year old female--getting pregnant--too young--feels it is not the best time to raise a child

The following is a list of stats that may help you in preperation. The data shows that most abortions are done by women under 25 and of generally lower income (those that can not afford additional children). A coursious fact is that Catholic women account for 31.3% of all abortions. Much higher then all other religions and non believers. So if they pull the religion card use this against them.
If the debate is for pro-choice vs pro-life the easy answer is that pro-choice it is up to the mother and father to chose to have an abortion or NOT to have one. It should not be the role of the government to dictate moral choices.
