you did not specify what version of Norton do you have. I have Norton 360 and this can be used for 3 computers, though I only use for one of my computers.
Check out if you had purchased the version which you can use it in two or more computers.
Check out also if redownloading could be possible so you can use it in another computer.
If you have the CD-ROM, try to install it in your new computer. Hand ready the key product as some will accept it as long as personal info and key product match each other.

You can't. Every Computer is different, even though they may be the same company, type. I just had a virus scan today from Norton. You cannot change it.

If your new computer doesn't have Norton "Anti"virus already installed, consider yourself lucky that you won't have to go through the hassle of trying to remove it completely before installing a proper, free, non-invasive antivirus program such as AVG Free, Avast or Avira.

Try to install it from the CD, give the numver on the CD sleeve and try activation. If activation does not work, contact support and tell them that you had your computer repaired.

try burning a copy of it from your programs files and using that to reinstall. You can also network, or transfer the files onto a flash drive and reinstall it.
