On my 60gb ps3 it says 46 gb out of 55 gb used. First of all, isn't it supposed to be 60gb, and i only have 1 game saved on the hardrive(heavenly sword). Can someone tell me what's going on.

Some of the Hard drive space is used up by the Operating System. Also, the way the GB is calculated, it will always be a little bit less than what it is supposed to be.

it is actually a 60 gb hard drive, but it uses some gb for system info and to let it run smoothly, its just like a pc. Check the heavenly sword game case and see how much it uses remeber 1000 mb is 1 gb. Also if you have any pictures, videos, or music on it it will take up some room. other than that thats all i got for ya.

Some of it is used for essential data.
Everything the PS3 needs to know to let it run and work perfectly.

That, or they decided to round it up.
