Oh what an adorably pretty girl....... impossible to resist in the marvellous West Side Story.
Its odds on lump in the throat time when they sing Maria and Somewhere.

Elvis was asked to play Bernado (not Tony) but turned it down cos it didnt fit his image (thank God he did!). I cant see how he would have managed the dancing and Chakiris was a brilliant dancer and of course won an Oscar.
It was originally to be called East Side Story with Jewish and Catholic gangs.

I can't remember the title. But, it starred Brian Keith and Natalie Wood. What was remarkable was the two of them talking to each other in Russian periodically, throughout the movie. I learned later on that both were fluent in Russian!

The Great Race with Tony Curtis of the gleaming teeth and eye and the dual role with Jack Lemmon. She is great, funny, sexy, hot and still the down to earth beauty she was when she was in the Searchers with John Wayne and Jeffrey Hunter another good one!

This is hard to choose. But she showed alot of emotion, in
The inside of Daisy Glover. Especially her breakdown in the
voice over room in the studio scene. So that's the movie I'll
go with. Though I liked them all but her last. She was always
a favorite of mine. And I adored her husband until he
married his current wife. The man I married, reminded me so
much of RJ. Tho today, you wouldn't see it LOL.
Did you ever read the book her sister wrote about her life?
She mentioned a little known fact about Natalie. In that she
had a scar on her wrist, that she was very vain about. So she
never went without wearing a bracelet to cover it up. So when
you watch one of her movies again, look for a bracelet. I
know I did. :)
