I want to buy a dvd from a french site and its regional code is this:
DVD 9 / Zone 2 / PAL

I bought my notebook in the USA, its a Hp pavillion dv9010us

No,
You must first set your DVD drive to that region of that contries code. Download DVD_Region_Free from here:http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm
You need this program if your DVD drive is region protected (RPC-2)

If your DVD drive is not protected and most are after 2000 you can use DVD genie, download here: http://www.inmatrix.com/files/dvdgenie_download.shtml

It doesn't matter...you can play the movie, regional code will be applied on ordinary DVD Player only!!!

no it wont if it has a drive in it. the software on the drive does not cross over region codes unless its cracked.

it depends on weither your computer has a dvd drive in it, but it probally does.
it should be able to play it.
