She is a cafeteria worker and is a down to earth type of gal.

she's in her 40's has a husband and almost grown children.
when asked what she would like for christmas, she said Lottery Tickets.
I don't think that is a good gift, at least not from me, I bought her a candle but I like them and not sure she would. I have not decided whether or not I'll give it to her.
If you have any ideas of what would be a good gift, instead of the tickets, let me know please.
Thank you !

Get her a green candle (a 'money' candle) and some lottery tickets. And a shiny new quarter to use on the tickets. Seems an all right gift for a co-worker.

Give her what she wants. I often get my Dad tickets. I give him a mix of the lottery tickets, especially scratch offs, he loves them and gives him something to do.

And, keep the candle for yourself.
