You were both being racist and you are both at fault. When he said what he said about black people bringing struggles on themselves, that was you opportunity to calmly tell you didn't like it and to tell him to please stop with that. Chances are he would've been a lot more understanding and you two wouldn't even be in this position. Although what he said was very wrong, don't get me wrong, but still you could have chosen a nicer set of words. And why would you ask him about if he ever wanted to go back to a white woman? lol You would think that you wouldn't care about race, but it's clear that you do. And because of what you asked him caused all of the violence and separation between you two. There was no point and telling him all that stuff and even worse, lying to him! Now that I've pointed out all the flaws lol, here's what you should do to fix them: The next time you see him alone, talk to him. Talk to him about how you don't appreciate some of the racist things he says and let him know that you yourself is sorry for being racist as well and for saying what you said. Let him know about all your insecurities with Emma. Oh and don't forget to tell him that you were lying about your ex to make him jealous because you love him so much. It's really important you let him know you love him and that you're very sorry, but at the same time let him know he being racist at times isn't cool either. Hope this helped and good luck(:

I wouldn't say anything. I'd just hold his hand and be there for him. I don't like to cry in front of people either. It's not necessarily manly to not cry and it's not sensitive to cry. People have different ways of dealing with grief and whatever works for them is okay as long as it's not drugs or alcohol.

Cry alone is okay with me. Not in front of a crowd. Men like to keep their composure and not break down in front of others. Its normal. I dont worry about these petty things.

i actually wonder that myself a lot and why they dont express their emotions more freely in other situations, not just because of a death of a loved one. I would most likely comfort them and if their tears really touch my heart I would start to cry with them and say/do comforting stuff.

I think it is fine when a man cries.. I don't look down on them..I would just help him get through it and tell him sweet things..It's not a crime for a man to cry..!

Well it was depend ing on what he was crying about. If someone died or something like that, then it would be ok. But if he was crying because Danny devoto didn't win an oscar then it would be creepy........

like he never loved anyone, but himself. most guys would cry at a loved ones funeral, but i cant see why you wouldnt. it just seems sad how a guy can hold back him feeelings and not express them in any way, it just makes me think that they have something to hide that they regret.

Actually I have NEVER seen my BF cry ---
That is just his way...
I am okay with it because I know he is a super sweet and extremely caring person ...
We just show and express our emotions differently ...

I'd tell him that it is healthy to cry & he shouldn't be afraid to cry & that if he wants to cry, he just should
