What if I bought something a long time ago from Wal-Mart and have used it but now it doesn't work right anymore. Will they still refund my money or give me in store credit. I don't have the original packaging, receipt, nothing. It's an electric blanket. I think there is a tag on it maybe.

Probably not. Used items without receipts don't get far in store refunds or credits. They will probably direct you to contact the manufacturer of the product for any applicable warranty.

If you don't have a receipt, packaging, or any of that, you probably can't return it. There's no proof it came from Wal-Mart so, in their eyes, why should they have to give you money for something that may or may NOT have come from their store? You can try if you want but save yourself the hassle and just buy a new one and keep the receipt.

I have found that pitching a fit does wonders. Before anyone bashes me, I will clarify this to mean that there are CS reps who don't want to do their job. If they say no, ask to speak to the manager. Basically, they want the onus to be on you to use the manufacturer warranty. But their return policy (online) does not specify a time limit for game systems. If you just bought it yesterday, you should take it back. They may want to make you exchange it, but do be aware that they may force you to take the "refund" back on a Walmart gift card. Not quite a refund in the true sense. Sooner rather than later... I'd head back to the Walmart to take care of this.

I don't think you can get a refund because it has been used. Since it's been a long time since you purchased it, they have no way of knowing if you used it once or a hundred times. Sorry.
