Let's see, if you are talking about it mathematically then it is 3 feet. If you are trying to make it a trick question, it depends on how many people are in the yard. You multiply the amount of people by 2 if they have 2 legs.

In a backyard counting peoples feet, well, I really don't know. Well, I guess you could count the people in the yard and then double it.
