Unfortunately many of today's newer desktops, and laptops, don't include a floppy drive as the computer industry sees everyone using their CD-ROM and/or DVD drives much more then a floppy drive that's often limited in size compared to what a CD or DVD can hold on it.

You can however purchase affordable external USB floppy drives for either your laptop or desktop for less then $20.00. These devices can plug into any USB port on your computer and detach easily for traveling.

you see where the normal discs go? well under that there should be sliding buttons on the bottom of your computer, you slide both of them out and the disc drive will come out, you need a floppy disc drive that fits in your computer. Try using the floppy disc on a desktop then transferring the files on to a zip drive, then plugging that into your laptop.

Most laptops these days don't come with floppy drives installed in them, however you can buy external drives that will connect to your laptop.

If your laptop is not equipped with a FDD then the answer is to get a usb floppy drive.

You know a usb flash drive will take the place of a floppy drive.

Nowhere to put it ,, hee hee , you will have to download what ever you have on the floppy to cd and do it that way , or if you have a flash stick with enough room on it put your material on it and then use the USB port to put your information onto the laptop .

Newer laptops really don't have floppy drives anymore. You can buy a usb floppy drive though, like the one here:

There are many different brands so look and see what's right for you.

Most new laptops don't have an A: drive; you need to buy an external drive if you need it. *Progress*!
