cat song, (origional, to the tune of "Love Me Tender" by Elvis
Love me later feed me now
All my mouth fulfill
If you don't I shall meow
"Til I break your will
love me later, feed me now
I can show you where...
There's a bowl where food belongs...
I will lead you there.
dog song---to the tune of "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash
Yogi, he's a dog who drools
It lands in little pools
got a feelin I won't forget
I say down in a pool of spit
I sat down in a slimy pool of spit
Sat down down down, and my behind got wet
and it's wet, wet wet
the pool of spit
the pool of spit
Oh, I remember when....
it happened to me again
Sat down in a different chair
of, but the pool was there...
I sat down in a slimy pool of spit
Sat down down down, and my behind got wet
and it's wet, wet wet
the pool of spit
the pool of spit

My beloved Sheba (Collie mix) was the greatest. I would sing to her here and there. When I had smoked some or drank some the songs came out more prevalent. My favorite was "The Most Beautiful Dog In the Worlddddd...Sheeeebaaaa."

I sing deep soulful songs.
Like 'Careless Whisper' by George Michael.
But only to my dog.
No one else has ever heard me sing.
Time can never mend the careless whispers of a good friend
To the heart and mind, ignorance is kind
there's no comfort in the truth
pain is all you'll find
Should've known better
I feel so unsure
as I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor
as the music dies, something in your eyes
calls to mind the silver screen
and all its sad good-byes
I'm never gonna dance again
guilty feet have got no rhythm
though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
Should've known better than to cheat a friend
and waste the chance that I've been given
so I'm never gonna dance again
the way I danced with you
Time can never mend
the careless whispers of a good friend
to the heart and mind
ignorance is kind
there's no comfort in the truth
pain is all you'll find
I'm never gonna dance again
guilty feet have got no rhythm
though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
Should've known better than to cheat a friend
and waste this chance that I've been given
so I'm never gonna dance again
the way I danced with you
Never without your love
Tonight the music seems so loud
I wish that we could lose this crowd
Maybe it's better this way
We'd hurt each other with the things we'd want to say
We could have been so good together
We could have lived this dance forever
But noone's gonna dance with me
Please stay
And I'm never gonna dance again
guilty feet have got no rhythm
though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
Should've known better than to cheat a friend
and waste the chance that I've been given
so I'm never gonna dance again
the way I danced with you
(Now that you're gone) Now that you're gone
(Now that you're gone) What I did's so wrong
that you had to leave me alone

No, but I make up silly songs and sing them to my kids. :) If the pets hear it is just an added bonus!

Of course, everyone sings to their pets..My cat was named
schmoo,
and It was OHHHHHH my little schmoopie duuuppiie, my scmooopie pooopie pooopie.....
Now onto the corus,
more of the same..etc etc
and back in those days, I loved Cat Stevens
"hard headed woman", and would dance around with my cat singing "hard headed schmoopie"
That reminds me, I have to go and buy a Cat Stevens album :)

I actually do sing silly made up songs to my obese cat.
It usually goes something like.
"Meow meow meow
very very fat
look at that cat
she's big and fat
meow meow meow
a chubby chubby friend
look at that cat
she is magically fat
and I want to squeeze that fat"
She usually looks at me like I'm retarded or gives me a mystified look as though she's really interested in my song.... which is itself, retarded.

My mom used to sing a version of "Hey Paula" to our Jack Russell
Hey hey, Buster... I wanna marry you
Hey hey, Buster... no one else will ever do
Don't ask me why she chose that song.
I picked up the habit, though. I make up songs all the time.

I sing songs to my kitty too....the sound of them are so sweet that they make my eyes water.....cause I start choking of my own saliva when I try to make the sweet cat song voice......I make up my own words ...like if we are cooking a hotdog together I sing "You hate dogs and but we love hotdogssss" and hits like "you punkd me,remember that time you pooped in my shoe but hey baby I still love you, yeah!" well

Once my daughter and I sang Happy Birthday to my cat (on his birthday) and he looked at us like we were nuts and walked out of the room. So we don't really sing too much around him. :-)
