John Lennon - Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
Happy Xmas
So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope you'll have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
A very Merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And, so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The world is so wrong
And so happy Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight
A very Merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year over
A new one just begun
And, so happy Christmas
We hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
A very Merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
War is over, if you want it
War is over, now
Happy Christmas

My Japanese friend to be right here with me. Even if was just for a few seconds so I could kiss his cheek and remind him that no matter what happens I'll still be there for him, because I love him.
It seems there should be some material thing I should be asking for myself, and though there are things that I would like, I'd rather have my friend know how precious he is to me.

For me? not my wife or kids? Hmmm, mine would be a multifacetted request. I used to build and restore airplanes. I nolonger have the time (or money or tools). I'd ask for a workshop, fully loaded and the time to build again. As it is, I'm happy just providing for my wife and kids.

I always joke around and tell people that I'm asking Santa for a million dollar check.
And every year, I'm disappointed.

For no one to be living in poverty.
For there to be no war.
For all people to be equal.
For me to get a new pair of Doc Martins cos my old ones are falling apart. (Only human. Sorry.)
