I'm going to Denver for 8 days. Dec 30-Jan 7th. What would I need to pack? I am taking two large rolling suitcases. Any ideas would be great. I'm horrible at packing.

Winter cloths so you can layer. Heavy coat ,hat, gloves . boots, sweat shirts, lighter jacket . it's on the warm side when the sun is out but very cold after it goes down. We could get lots of snow or none at all.

Biggest mistake that people who are not used to cold weather make is bringing the biggest coat that they have. Instead plan to wear a t-shirt, a long sleeve shirt, a sweater, then a light coat. This will keep you more comfortable than a huge coat. When you are in and out of the cold all day, being able to take off layers and put them back on is essential. Make sure to bring shoes that are somewhat water proof in case it snows alot while you are here. Most tennis shoes will do the job as long as they don't have mesh or ventalation holes on the toes.

Also, remember that some days may be downright warm and you will be stuck if all you have is long sleeve shirts. And if you are staying at a hotel that has an inside pool, don't forget something to swim in. And, no way you will need 2 large suitcases...keep it easy and stick to one.

Youre only going for a week - why do you need 2 suitcases? Layer your clothing, don't take stuff just in case - give your back a break!

Make sure you pack some t-shirts and shorts, in addition to the warmest coat you have. Warm gloves and boots are ideal.

Don't forget the sunscreen and sunglasses.

We have a saying in Colorado.... "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes"

Be prepared.

Bring and dress for every season! At 8am it can be 20 degrees and by noon it can be 80 degrees.
