Not at all, I feel the love of all sorts of people and it totally brings out the love in me for them as well. The worst time of year for ME is February and early March, when I'm tired of seeing nothing but shades of grey and white and I'm, desperately yearning for a little bit of greenery in the world. But this time of year offers the MOST promise of a lovely beginning of the Wheel of the year. There are SO many possibilities that could develop that it actually excites me.
Brightest Blessings,

I think most people believe the holidays are supposed to be joyous times. After all, our society broadcast this message to us from everywhere. However, if a person's life or fulfillment is not where the person thinks it should be, I think this is a let down to many. I think people feel these emotions during the holidays especially so. I hope God allows for personal interactions to be kind to anyone who feels emptiness during this time of year.

Yes ! I only had one child ,He's in the military over seas . I feel so alone at times like this .. I decided not to have Christmas this year . To tell ya the truth , I went to a warm climate just to be alone .. This means no stupid question for the family to ask , no debate over the war on who's right or wrong . So ya the holidays are a bad time of year for me .

In the loneliest episodes of my life is when I have felt the emptiest inside. I can confirm this experience that to so many is so painfully true: When you have nobody around with whom to share the christmas, a whole host of traumas and fears and closet skeletons come out fliying like ghosts, and when you notice people feeling the better you feel the worst, when you see families getting ready you feel like ditching a hole and just ignore the whole thing.
Fortunately for me, I understood that Christmas is about Chirst, and that this season is made to bring him closer to us and receive Him with joy as we learn to love unconditionally, just like he did to us.
Christmas, I realized much later after that is not only just a set "calendar date" is an expression of our wanting to belong. We don't know for sure when Christ was born, does it trully matter? This is a date the ancient church chose to compete against the pagan sun festivity of Apollo, and this feast has gained meaning and momentum among westerners first, and now spreading even unto those that don't believe in Christ (With the help of St Nicholas of Smyrna aka santa claus).
This season calls us to reach to all men and women, especially those who feel lonely, and calls us, if we are lonely to reach unto those that are searching for us. We can shut our eyes to many things, but we can't shut pur eyes to the fact that today there are many to whom we can reach and make the reality of Christ being born present just be simply being kind, and maybe...by inviting a few more people into our table and together sing: "Holy night", and that night, be all brothers....
with the hope that we might make it to keep it all through the year,
and if we don't, then...there is alwasy the next christmas, right?
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND MANY BLESSINGS TO ALL

Of course.
Growing up my family never celebrated anything--no birthdays, no Christmas, no anniversaries.
I remember I used to make up stories about all the cool stuff I did over the holidays to fit in with my friends at school
I don't know,
I just don't care about the holidays anymore.

Certainly and for those of you who can't comprehend it......my parents are dead, my marriages to 2 men failed, my children and grandchildren are 225 miles away and I don't have the $ to go see them.
I still feel fortunate but there are MILLIONS of people out there, many in the United States that have very little to celebrate with their life situations.
Count your blessings!

Xmas, is a in your face grotesque & gluttonous display, which is very demanding, & stressful. Personally I dont need a date on a calander to tell me to be generous & kind. I am very suspisious about the sincerity of any1 who does. It doesnt make me feel empty...more like running way from it!
