My friend and I were walking home and someone called us fat. Could I take this to the cops.

It's called "freedom of speech" and it isn't illegal.

There are alot of very unhappy people out there who feel better when they can shout something at someone from their car and get away with it. I've been riding a bike for many years and people yell things at me. I just chalk it up to them being idiots. Don't be too sensitive about it.

If people called the cops for every time someone called them a name. . . the cops would probably arrest them. I'm sure you've called people names and although name calling isn't nice, it happens everyday all over the world.

You can't take it to the cops. They won't care. Just tell the people that are calling you fat to shut their yap, or just ignore those losers.

As a cop I would ask you why you were coming to me, do you want a second opinion? Okay yes you are fat.

They wouldn't do anything about it. The best thing to do is consider the source and ignore ignorant people.

Try going on a diet and you wouldn't have that problem. Would it matter if someone drove by and yelled "Fit!" at you?

It's not a crime, so no reason to get the cops involved.
