I know some people have some phobias like fear of dogs, snakes, spiders, I'm scared of fish (and my gf is scared of heights), etc. But isn't this weird? One of my best friends has a fear of "dead roses!" Isn't that weird?

I once heard he had an experience at camp he's never forgotten to this day. And when he sees deaad roses, bam! But he'd rather not talk about it. He says it's rather silly.

Wow...I'm afraid of fish, too! Dead roses? That's a strange one. If you held a dead rose up to him/her, would your friend scream and run away...or are they just generally creeped-out by them?

Many people have irrational fears. I for one have a minor fear of heights and spiders, but strangely enough I can climb on top of a house and it doesn't bother me a bit but if the ladder moves even a tiny fraction of a millimeter I come out of my skin. I also will allow fly spiders to walk on me, but daddy long legs(another harmless spider) irk me. This may be "weird", but like chocolahoma said all phobias are weird.

That is an odd one! One of my biggest phobias is fear of the elderly. Like I can deal with my grandparents and other old people I know, but some old people just look like walking skeletons with skin, and it very much scares me. I'm not trying to be rude, and I find a lot of elderly that I become friends with very interesting and make good friends! It's just one of my phobias that I can't seem to shake. People laugh at me all the time for it, saying "what are you going to do when you're old and look in the mirror?" But then again, I won't be afraid of myself, just all my friends I guess. Lol.

It is no more or less weird than any other irrational fear.
Some people are afraid to go outside their own homes.
Others are so afraid of germs that they wash their hands until they bleed.
Phobias "are" weird.
