I dont have a mac key board any more I got a windows wire less key board that works with mac, but how do i up the brightness of the screen? is there like something i can press on the key board or like some all into it thing i can do with the mouse?

I will assume that you have a monitor that does not have any controls for brightness or contrast. I'm not sure that can make the connection between not having a Mac keyboard and having a wirless PC keyboard since the brightness control was never on the keyboard (except if you have a PowerBook of some type).

Anyway...

If you have and are running OS X, there are no monitor control functions available - other then screen resolution.

If you have and are running any version of the Classic OS then goto the upper left corner of the desktop and select the Apple. A drop down menu will appear. Move the mouse pointer to "Control Panels". Another menu will appear. Select "Monitors" or "Monitors and Sound". A dialog box will open that will allow you to set the contrast and brightness of you monitor (among other settings).

All those kinds of adjustments are on my monitor itself.
