my norton has turned off dos any1 know how to turn it back on

If for some reason it turned off, just double-click the Norton shortcut which will be in either Program files or your start menu.

How can it be turned off? There must be some attack to cause it.

You need to re-install it and make sure you would do a full scanning during re-installation.

try re installing it
