Ok, so I am 29 wks pregnant. and I have tryed to take my prenatal vitamins as regularly as i can. But this past week or so I haven't been eating like I should, we just don't seem to have that much food in my house, especially meat. I have tryed applying for food stamps but we make like $100 to much. I am so scared that this is harming my baby, I am so hungry all the time and i dont know what to do. what are my options???

Also, I have money for food, I just have no way to get to the store. The closest store is about 10 miles away and I can not walk that far, plus it is freezing outside.

I never could take the prenatals, they made me vomit :X And with my daughter, it seems everything I ate made me do the same. I ended up taking her a week early and she was still over 8lbs! Try to go to a food pantry instead. Or a church with a missions group. We have one called Open Arms. They don't ask.
When you go shopping get the basics that are cheap, not premade, processed foods. Go for rice, pasta, eggs (there are proteins in eggs) and if you can stomach veggies sometimes there's a 2 for $1 sale. Aldi's is cheap for food as well as The Hostess outlets for cereals. If you don't have those, walmart has fortified bulk cereal for like $2 a huge bag. Peanut butter is a good protein as well. Bread and PBJ go a long way as well. Try to make a food plan and stick to it. ie.
eggs and toast for breakfast
oatmeal toast or cereal and toast
lunch meat is cheap if bought from the deli, not a prepacked bag for $4. Sandwiches and soup are a cheap lunch.
dinner ..spaghetti with meat and sauce or just butter and a can of peas. Butter has good fats! Velveeta shells, hamburger helper, ramean noodles and broth are cheap too. Rice and chicken breast.
Casseroles are easy and you can use the eggs to make it.
Good luck! Eat up!
Don't buy sodas, or other high priced items. Make iced tea or lemonades by the gallon. Or better yet have water and generic milk!

Well, I would say that you need to make sure that you are taking that prenatal vitamin everyday so that you are getting those nutrients. Try to eat as much as you can and if you can't afford to buy groceries, see if there is a local food shelf around your house that you could get hooked up with... Can your parents help you get some healthy food? Could you give up some other kind of "luxury" that you have in your house in order to buy food? Have you heard of WIC? Look that up and see... it's a place that can give you food and once the baby is born, you can get free formula too. It is also an income based program, but you never know. It's worth looking into. Do your best to keep your body healthy for you and your baby. You could also talk to your doctor about your situation and see if she has any suggestions.

Don't splurge on things you don't need.
Winn Dixie usually has meat for very inexpensive, and it usually comes in buy one get one packs.
Eat oatmeal, it'll fill you up.
Peanut butter is also very filling.
Try and make a budget and not spend money on anything that you don't really need. Right now you and your baby are more important than new clothes, going to the movies, buying excessive amounts of baby clothes and things, or just generally spending money pointlessly.
Your prenatal vitamins will help you with what you don't get through food, and if you can't afford to get them, get Flintstones Vitamins. I can't take prenatal vitamins because they make me itch, so I take 2 Flintstones a day and it does the same thing.
You'll get less hungry as the weeks go by, and you're almost done!

Are you signed up with WIC? If you are only $100 for food stamps you should qualify for WIC. That'd get you milk, cheese, juice, peanut butter and cereal. Check into that.
You don't have to eat meat to have a healthy pregnancy. We've been short on cash too and with my last pregnancy I ate a lot of beans and eggs. Lots of protein and iron. I stayed very healthy. It's possible to eat really well on a tight budge but you have to be creative.
I'd check into WIC and maybe visit a food pantry.
Your baby will probably be fine. It's your health that may suffer if you don't eat well. -and you need to be healthy to take care of your baby.

i know exactly how you feel..im 37 weeks prego though. hardly any food in the house, i ate probably once a day some days..there are ways, have you tried applying for financial assistance? if not, theres one option, you say you have money but cant go to a store?..you have family you could call to give you a ride? try not to splurge on things you dont need..try printing out coupons, or collecting them. you could save ALOT! when you do shop go to the dollar stores. buy things you know will last awhile. 10 cans of beans for $5 or something. be a smart shopper!..if you can pawn something you dont need. do that for a little extra money. i know how sucky WIC is, i only get milk, cheese, and a dozen of eggs too. try and save up so when you can or do go out, buy food in bulks so it would last you awhile. but dont worry, your baby is fine..if women in africa can give birth to healthy babies then i reallly dont think you have anything to worry about! GOOD LUCK!!

If you call an LDS church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) and tell them your problem, they'll help you out. You don't have to be a member of the church. Try to ask for the Bishop or Stake President. Better yet, the Relief Society President. Other churches will probably help you as well if you explain your predicament to them. There are also hopefully food banks you can go to. Beans and rice are a complete protein and it's cheap. You don't need meat if you combine your proteins properly. Beans & rice, pasta & cheese, cornbread &beans. Try to get WIC, it will help with some food items. Good luck and congratulations.

Wic gives you cereal and if you look at the nutrition label youll find quite alot of cereals that offer alot of iron and folate/folic acid the most important thing to give your baby and take that vitamin no matter what you and the baby need it And keep in mind back in the day there were no prenatals or knowledge of folic acid etc and our babies were still born and well
Heres a food pyramid to follow

i agree with sharkyn...why are you on the internet but yet cant afford food...what are you going to do when that baby is born? maybe have to give up a few luxuries to keep it in diapers and food in the house...darn shame you didnt think of this before you got pregnant...from your past questions you have a cat and a dog..are they eating? cause if i couldnt feed myself or my child those would be the first to go
then what are you asking..you cant get food stamps cause you make 100 too much ...but it isnt the money thats the problem cause you have money and wic..but you cant get to the store..do you want me to come get you? what do you want me to do thru a computer for you..basically whats the point of your question?

Try and continue to take your vitamins. As for the food, go to your local welfare office and apply for WIC. It will get you food and medical care (even after baby is born). Also if you really need the food, there are many churches and charity groups that will give you food. Don't be embarrassed to ask for the help it is for your baby and prenatal care is so important.
