why aren`t they there when it`s daytime and you turn the lights out but pretend it`s night time?to fool them!

I think people think you can only see ghosts at night because it is easier to see them there. You can see them during the day, probably not so much out side in direct sunlight, as they are only shades and you can see through them. I have not photograhic evidence but I have seen quite a lot of ghosts and lived in a house which was frequently visited by ghosts. Most of the activity there was at night time but we did hear a baby crying upstairs when there was no one there during the day, it really freaked my friend out when she turned around too find her two year old right beside her and not up stairs where the noise came from.
She even one night went into check on her daughter and found a ghost leaning over her cot.

An answer for you from a professional: There are plenty of reports of ghostly activity during all hours of the day and night, but active hauntings present themselves more at night. The reason for this is it is believed that active hauntings come out once things have quieted down, as they don't always like interaction with us. If someone had an active haunting in their home and slept during the day, they would more than likely have more activity in the daytime hours.
An active haunting is just one of many classifications of hauntings. Poltergeists, demons, and residual hauntings don't seem to have a preference for night or day. Anytime someone can be irritated will do for the first two, and residual hauntings are usually tied to the time that the event being replayed originally occurred.

Maybe some ghosts appear to us looking like regular people during the daytime. It could be that we don't even realise we have walked past a ghost because we haven't really been paying much attention to all the other people who are around us as we walk around minding our own business each day. You might have passed by lots of them during your lifetime and not even know about it. Anything is possible. lol :-)

That is not true. Many apparition's have been documented during daytime. As for proving any ghost story, not going to happen. Unless you have the experience yourself, you cannot become a believer as all such reports are simply the statements of people that have had the experience..

Because it's the ghost's daytime. Notice you don't see any during the day because it's the ghost's night time. They're in a different time prame than live people. I know this answer sounds stupid but it's true.

I beleive people see ghosts at night because they are a sleep and dreaming. I know I see my Mom and I know it is a dream. But she visits me often. She was a wonderful Mom and I miss her after 14 years it seems like yesterday that she left us. I think I go to bed with her on my mind. We had just good times together. And sometimes I see my Grandma.

People claim they see ghosts at night time because your mind plays tricks on you or your eyes could be projecting an image of a ghost in a movie or a picture that you might seen. Objects that you see during the day look completely different in the dark. Your mind is set on seeing a particular object that you don't want to see. So, as a result, your eyes project that image and it effects your judgement.

Actually, if you go to Berry Pomeroy castle in Devon you'll find that the ghosts there are much more active in the day.
I've witnessed ghostly presences both day and night,. I guess people get their fear on a lot easier when it's dark.

because people are scared at night time and get sensitive with
most things like sounds and demons and ghosts are described
as dark creatures and like to scare people when they fell an
safe around the area like in the forest or ghost town and semetry
and at day time there is a lot of noise and people they wouldnt
try to scare you then they can also attack you in a small number of people in a forest at night thats what people believe
