Bill could run as VP for Hillary. She'd really wear the pants then. Kidding. To be serious at least this way she could keep her eye on him.
No I joke again. I like the Hillary. I guess Richardson or Edwards. But Edwards didn't really help Kerry.
For Repbulicans maybe McCain if they dont pick him.

on the democrat side, I would think Obama would be a good second in command.. (not the best choice for America..but that wasnt your question) He would feel the need to be great at the position because he would have all black america watching him, and all democrats watching him to see if they would want to vote for him to be the real president. Hillary would be the worst at that job for obvious reasons.
On the republican side I would say Huckabee or McCain.
Both of them feel like they would be supportive of anyone they are working for.

Richardson (lots of Foreign Policy experience); Biden (gets along well with Others); and Edwards (I know he wouldn't Accept the Position- because He's already "been there & done that..." -but he'd make an Excellent "all around" V.P.)- for the Democrats............ And Huckabee (level headed, thoughtfull & likeable) for the Republicans... -All the REST of the Republicans have serious Ego "issues"- and would NOT match up well- with any of the Others.

What does a VP do anyway? There are a lot of people who influence the President, including cabinet members and advisors, and I'm sure the VP does that as well. Unless the President dies, the VP really doesn't seem that important.

Democrat-I would say Obama as VP. I think most democrats think he is inexperienced on the world stage and Being VP would give him more insight to succeed as president. (If he were chosen as the Democrat president nomination I would vote for him)
Republican-I would say Thompson. When it comes to the conservatives like Rudie ,Thompson would give them a little more influence to the population of America.

Huckabee/ McCain..I agree! McCain has Military experience that we definitely need in the white house to get us out of the war in the right way, at the right time. Huckabee is a strong leader with governor experience who fights for the underdog!
(Who is more of an underdog than the unborn?.he is very much pro life! If he looks out for people that cant vote for him for more than 18 years, then he gets my vote)

I would love a Huckabee/McCain ticket.... Huck would keep McCains liberal side down, and McCain would help Huck be tougher on issues like the war. In the end they are probably the 2 most conservative. On the other side I would like a Hillary/Obama so when the GOP wins we can hear everyone say it was because America is a bunch of racist sexists! That would be entertaining.

Biden for the dems. Really smart guy, speaks his mind, knows policy. Richardson would be good too, and would bring out the Latino vote.
Thompson for the GOP. Because he needs 'seasoning' if he's going to win the big chair.
