Am I just weird ? Cause I would so rather
do a face to face. That way it is out in the
open and there are no hidden maybes or what
ifs to be concerned with. A facial expression
is worth a thousand words !! LOL !!

It's often easier to say something the other person isn't going to like to hear in a letter or email, or if you think you are going to be too stressed out to think clearly while saying it, it helps to have the time to edit what you write so it doesn't come across wrong as so often happens face to face. Also the other person has time to think about it before reacting, too.

But if what you are trying to say is, for example, technical and would take a lot of detailed explaining, then it's easier to talk face to face, or even on the phone.

E-mails are always easier, but there is always the chance that they don't check their email. Most people keep their cellphones with them at all times. Also, e-mails can seem rude when dealing with a serious situation.
They're good for quick info and chatting, but I wouldn't recommend them for breaking up with somebody.

A thousand times easier to send an e-mail than talking face to face. Face to face you are within striking distance. Face to face you can get an expression that gives you great disappoint. Face to face they can pin you down to explain something said you just as soon would have kept in a simple sentence.

For sure. It's a little like cheating but it gives you a chance to think clearly about your words and not have to face someone while saying them. I know it's chicken, but I'm surely guilty of it (...being a bit of a weenie when it comes to confrontation).

yes, sometimes there are things that needs to be said but you don't want to say them. in that case, you have to communicate them in a different way. writing is so much easier because words and phrases can always be misconstrued. You can really say something to expresses how you are feeling. If the person takes it offensively, you can always say "I didn't mean it like that"

Sometimes yes...I have one friend that I can't stand to talk to face to face....seriously! Or even on the phone - she gets sidetracked so easily that its just must easier (for me) to send her an e-mail and let her take the time to write it all out.....

Oh certainly, have we not become a self- isolated culture??.........we live at a "distance" from each other, even when right next door to each other.
It is the ultimate in the "easy way out", although I am certainly not putting it down because, I definitely take advantage of it.
It falls in to accordance of one of the laws of the nature in re: to human beings, that being the pursuit of "comfort", as you mentioned...using email when you know you should have called sooner, it allows you the comfort of feeling you have met your obligation to respond without having to deal with the person, in person (be it only the telephone)...............We are detached; that in it's self is easier. So your answer is yes.
