I'm 28 and still fear the dark if I'm alone.

It is a proven fact that the majority of crime; the majority of evil acts are done it the dark. It is a good thing to be leery of the dark especially in certain conditions. My answer is YES.

only if my husband isn't here and I hear a noise and suddenly all three cats suddenly stop and stare in the same direction with BIG eyes. Ya, THEN I'm afraid of the dark. I gotta get a dog, these cats are useless. Love 'em dearly, but, really good for nothing but a laugh sometimes and some purring and loving. Well, okay, they are really cute and cuddly and the Bengal sure is pretty and smart and, oh we were talking about afraid of the dark. That cat isn't afraid of ANYTHING, including dogs! He LOVES them!

I used to be afraid of the dark, and I still have my occasional times where I have a nightmare and think I see somethin in the shadows. But for the most part I can only sleep in the dark and I love it, so I don't know what to put. 50/50 I guess....

no, but most people who are afraid of the dark aren't afraid of the darkness they are afraid of what could be in the dark

I don't think your afraid of the dark your just afraid of the unknown....once you get passed about 11 you aren't afraid of "the dark" just what COULD be in the dark. every one is a afraid of the unknown. but always remember "courage is not the absence of fear, it is just the strength to over come your obsticals" quote from princess diaries

I'm not so much afraid of the dark, more like afraid of what could be in the dark..
What I mean is that I basically check my closet/behind my door for rapists/creepy men before I goto bed... Sad I know

Me not, unless it's a basement or anywhere spider and spider web ridden or if I were to be somewhere heavily crime ridden driving home at night. But I do try and avoid those places.
I wish I can hold a gathering, in the dark, tell ghost stories....

I am not afraid but sometimes I do get a little afraid like after watching a move I should have not watched by myself.
