What are we comparing here? I personally like the Wings, and for some odd reason I don't quite hate the Avs.
Forsberg is/was an exciting player to watch, and Yzerman is an idol to just about every Red Wings fan in the world, and had a certain presence on the ice that I can't explain. Kind of the same as Sakic in Colorado.
To the Guy below Mike.......If the two planes crashed into the United Center during a Blackhawks game, the blackhawks would have to be playing another team, who's to say that team isnt the one you cheer for?

It's gotta be Yzerman, and as a Swede I'm shocked that I'm saying that, but it's the truth. He spent his entire career with one team, the longest reigning captain in Red Wings history, enough said

And yeah, Yzerman was better than Forsberg, but a lot of players were better than Forsberg, he was injured most of the time.
