I just am wondering why more people are not questioning the safety of vaccines when they have to recall because of possible contamination issues. The government and pharmaceutical companies will say anything to protect themselves from taking the blame when/if something happens after giving these vaccines.

Here is a link about the recall. Seriously just because it was "voluntary" does not mean that it won't be detrimental to a baby...

Did you even look at the sites? How can you know if they are unless you look?

How do you know if my parents had me vaccinated?

2007-12-14 15:27:17 · update #4

Did you also know that there is mercury and formaldehyde in vaccines? Do you like that being injected into your babies, as well as contaminated vaccines?
I just do not understand why people just accept that this stuff is in the vaccines and still think that vaccines are the greatest thing. Vaccines do not necessarily "protect" against the diseases and viruses that they vaccinate for....

Actually my research goes far beyond the internet, I was just trying to give quick references to those that want them. Thanks. Just because your doctor tells it safe, doesn't mean it is....

I wish people would stop the whole "have you ever seen someone suffer from polio" thing. Most of the cases of polio right after it was created was FROM the polio vaccine. They didn't make it a little "safer" until the later 1990's because they switched it from the live oral polio vaccine to the dead polio vaccine.
Also, they aren't going to tell you the vaccinations aren't safe because they would cause a mass scare and they'd lose a ton of money.
If people would do research first about the real negative effects from vaccinations, I think a lot of mothers would think twice about it all. I'm not downing mothers for doing it, but I honestly don't agree with it. I don't feel it is safe at all and my son is not getting vaccinted. The list of ingredients in the vaccinations are horrible. Here's a link to the toxins they put in the vaccines: http://www.whale.to/vaccines/ingredients.html
Umm....read that and NO thank you.

I haven't seriously researched this, but I have read a bit about it and I am still pro-vaccination.

Some of them I think are unnecessary, or sound suspicious, and a whole bunch together can be risky, but it has become very clear after years and years of people being vaccinated that the benefits far outweigh the risks.

Then again, the risk is not as high now that vaccinations have eliminated most of these diseases, so you're safer if you're not vaccinated now.

I question the safety of vaccines and I think it's important to be knowledgeable about them. However, I still choose to vaccinate my children. The recall was not that horrible. They weren't contaminated with anything horrible, and the only worry was a possibility of infection at the injection site, which can be easily treated with antibiotics. If that were my kid, I'd be pissed, yes, but it's a let better then getting the influenza the vaccines were actually for.

I'm one of those people that "questions everything"

*sigh*

it can be a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, I feel like I have alot of knowledge, and knowledge is power. However I can't seem to share that knowledge, because people aren't receptive (why I cannot fathom this, I thirst for knowledge).

I have not had my son vaccinated, and will not, because I HAVE done extensive self-research on this subject, and come to my OWN conclusions,

that goes FAR BEYOND reading the one to ten pampheletes handed out by the person who is hoping to administer vaccines to your child.

Also, when it comes to "risk of contamination with botulism"...

Ask a question on here about giving an infant honey. You'll have folks ready to haul you off to child protective services... tell them there's a risk of botulism in a vaccine, and they tell you you're a fanatic, or at best, blowing it out of proportion.

And of course pharmaceutical companies don't want to take the blow. Because if ONE vaccine is not safe, then that makes all the OTHERS questionable - at least it should.

This mess with vaccines is just overwhelming. Fear has been used against people who don't know to look things up themselves, fear and good marketing. Can't tell you how many banner ads I've seen today, telling me I'm basically a bad parent and my son can DIE for not having him done with the Flu vaccine.

EDIT:
and anyone, yes ANYONE who says "your kids have to be vaccinated for school" is proof positive that they have not fully researched vaccinations. If they had, they would know it is simply NOT true.

ALL vaccines contain viruses or "virus particles". That's the entire point- to introduce your immune system to something weak/dismembered in order to train it to recognize and fight off the fully-functional versions it encounters three months later. It's called "immunology", and it's about the closest thing to homeopathy ("like cures like", "small beats large") that actually works.

more people have been saved from having vaccines than harmed..and although its horrible that the recall is because of contamination...things happen...i still get them for my children..because we didnt go thru alot of childhood disease that my parents did..and im glad we didnt...give me some thumbs down i dont care...all i know is this...i suffer from something that a simple vaccine could have cured..could have saved my son alot of medical problems and surgeries..but because i wasnt vaccinated its a problem for me...so although some people do have issues with it...if you cannot and will not vaccinate your child they should not be allowed into a public school...because you put everyone else in danger...my sons mumps vaccine didnt even take..there are years of vaccines that werent any good and you dont even know it unless you get tested to see if you have the immunities..its funny as well how bad they are...but we had some disease almost eradicated from the earth..and totally from america and all of a sudden you have this surge because other countries and people say no no no vaccines..yeah its gonna be some little simple germ that does the world in..are you one of the types that gets some antibiotics at the first sniffle? that has done us all more harm than good

I prefer my daughter get vaccinated. There are risks in everything we come in contact with for our children. I feel safer knowing that she has had them, then to let her go unvaccinated. There are recalls on toys because of lead, recall on foods because of contamination. Each person has their own say in whether they get their children vaccinated.
Why do those people not trust in the vaccines, there are side effects in all medicines.

People like you really upset me. You upset me because RESPONSIBLE parents have been vaccinating their children for decades so that debilitating diseases like polio can stay obsolete in our society.

Imagine if parents everywhere just stopped vaccinating their children. Sure, probably nothing would happen for a while but imagine where we'd be in 20 years? When people travel to countries where these diseases, like polio, haven't been eradicated. Maybe you'll get lucky and your children wouldn't be affected, but your grandchildren most likely would. And their children, and so on.

And then imagine how long it would take to wipe these diseases out all over again???

Vaccinations have helped protect us FAR more than they have hurt. I'm so sick of you parents who ride the coattails of responsible parents everywhere. Get a freaking clue and get your child vaccinated. Don't make them suffer for your stupidity.

Have you ever known anyone that suffered from Polio? My husband's Aunt had this as a child and she had to go through more than 30 painful surgeries just to be able to walk with the aid of canes and crutches. The benefits of the vaccines outweighs the risks.
