Give me one reason why the Wild will not win the Cup?

Mind you most of them were about the time that they were 7-0-1. How the mighty have come back to earth. Gaborik leads the team with only 10 goals.

Others I miss are-

Will Cammeleri win the Rocket or will it be Comrie or Antropov?
Will Zetterberg win the Art Ross and Hart?
Brian Campbell for the Norris?
Is Brodeur washed up?

Memyself- that is right, happens every year. These were actually regular questions way back when........my answer often was "the season is still young, alot of hockey left to play..." People didn't seem to understand that.

LOL Erica. Not only Toskala but don't forget the great Jason Blake.

They weren't quite worded as questions, but don't forget these:
- How much better the Leafs would be with Vesa Toskala in net.
- That the Devils would be at the bottom of the Atlantic. (Kind of goes with those saying Brodeur's washed up.)
- ...Sidney Crosby's too young to be Captain. (The Pens aren't doing too great right now, but Sid seems to be doing fine as Captain.)

Haha, does anyone remember Marian Gaborik Day?

1) No, the Wild will not win the Cup because frankly, they don't have the players
2) Cammalleri. Antropov, and Comrie will be well down the list when the Rocket Richard winner is unveiled
3a) Zetterberg will not win the Art Ross Trophy (but I do believe he will be in contention for a while longer)
3b) Zetterberg will not be in contention for the Hart
4) Brian Campbell will lose out on the Norris to Hart/Norris combo winner Jaroslav Spacek. (sucks to be Brian)
5) I've been saying since August. The devils make the playoffs, and Martin Brodeur is the best goaltender in the NHL...far from washed up.

Um...what am I supposed to be missing?

Oh, Gaborik just scored on Giguere

The Wild will win the Cup
Comrie will win the Rocket Richard
Zetterberg will win both the Art Ross and Hart
Brian Campbell will run away with the Norris
Brodeur is as washed up as a toilet freshly scrubbed by Mr. Clean.

In questions dating back to last summer when the devils lost Rafalski and Gomez and everyone said they were done, and they were going to be 2nd to last in the Atlantic division, I kept my prediction that it would take much more than that for a team like NJ to falter, and they would finish one or two in the division and still make the playoffs. And i never thought Zetterberg was the same caliber scorer as others in the league. Just clarifying that.

Excellent point Bob!!!! I've never been able to make predictions even at the HALFWAY point, let alone after 10 games or so, as the old questions you refer to.

Fans jump the gun too much based on early season performances, good or bad. Someone should keep a list of these statements that we can laugh at later after the season.

You know, I can not think of one reason why not. Oh wait, I think their health. If they become unhealthy, they will not win the cup. Oh, and capitalizing on power plays. They need better support on that. Other than that, they are an overall great hockey team. They are due for another cup.
