I have a tweed jumper dress and I'm trying to figure out whether or not I could wear black tights with it? I'm wearing it with black heels and a white button down underneath. Would it look better with sheer black pantyhose? Please advise!

Without having seen neither you nor the dress, that is a very hard call to make. I would suggest you find someone whose opinion you trust, and model the outfit for them both ways.

I would definitely go with the opaque tights instead of sheer pantyhose. The tights are much more comfortable, will match the tweed better, and since it is December they will keep you warmer. You might also find that footless opaque leggings would look really awesome with a tweed jumper and those shoes, but definitely go with either tights or leggings. I am a 19 year old male who always wears girls clothes so I wear jumpers a lot, and always wear them with either opaque tights or leggings, usually I wear either ballet flats or UGG boots. Good Luck, hope this helped.

You can wear the tights as long as your heels are substantial, like a round toe and/or a platform, and not dainty. If the shoes are pointy-toed and delicate pump type shoes, then wear the sheer black hose.

Very nice/elegant shoes by the way! good choice!

sheer barely black - would look fantastic for evening wear but in the day time try go for something nude/tan colour that has a very good shine to them - usually the more expensive hosiery does the job well.

Your legs will look fantastic with shiny nude hose though!

Experiment! I think it would look gorgeous with full-length or 7/8 black footless leggings that have metal press studs near the ankles, teamed with a pair of black pump heels.

Go opaque. It will match the density of the tweed.
Don't go sheer. It won't compliment the structure of the tweed dress.
Sounds like you are going to look super cute!!
