Hmmmm, gambling on his own team, or steroids, hmmmm, gambling, steroids, gambling, steroids. Either way, they're BOTH wrong, and illegal.

What Pete Rose did was cheat on the game. He disgraced it. He's as bad as the Black Sox. As for the steroids, in the 90's, they weren't against the rules in baseball. Pete Rose knew what he did was wrong. Juicers thought it didn't matter what they did because it wasn't cheating at the time. Pete Rose was worse. But Rose should be in the Hall still.

this steroids scandal is way worse then what Pete rose did. Pete rose gambled on games and was banned. the difference is Pete rose never affected a game he was playing in. he only has records showing him betting on games he hasn't played in. the steroid users (who have jacked them selves up to look like e gorillas) all effect their own games where Pete rose affects no game at all. The steroid scandal would best be compared to the black sox scandal because they both affected games they played in and will forever be in MLB history

What Pete Rose did was much worse. In every club house there is a sign that states gambling is not allowed, Pete knew he shouldn't be gambling.

Gambling on one's own team: prohibited by MLB since the 19th century.
Using steroids/magic waters/whatever: not prohibited by MLB until 2003.
The Rose Cultists continue to grasp at straws, even moldering ones that should be at the bottom of the compost heap.

of those two, the seroids are easily worse, what rose did never had any effect on the outcome of any game at all whatsoever, he never better against his team, never made maagerial decisions that would make his team loose never threw a game on the field, obviously the use of steroids had a major effect on the outcome of games

Steroids, whatPete did was bad but supposedly he bet on his team to win so he didn't throw games. The steroids not only impacted games and records but also influenced young players to take steroids and I think thats the bigger crime.

Gambling: legal
Steroids: Illegal
The mess steroids make of the game by making an uneven playing field, those who take and those who don't, is worse.
Shame on the game.
