That is so true I ahve never heard it that way but that is a good anology! I feel it is important to be True Yourself and Not everybody is going to like what you do but If you walk in confidence knowing that what you are doing is right..You have more respect too.

Yes, and thank you for addressing this important issue. I will be staying home tonight and tomorrow until about 11:30. Then I will go with my ex-hubby and b/f to an 'Open AA Meeting and Christmas Dinner' . By 2:30 I'll be back home with my doggie, Sophie. Merry Christmas, my beloved friends! Have a safe and fun Holiday. Joy

I believe that 100% also. And It is true that there is no way you can make everyone happy. I have also tried making people happy. I have made a few happy but was unable to make everyone happy. Hope you are also doing well take care!

The statement is 100% true!!! WIthout dreams our lives
be dull and barren.
And the statement about carving yourself to please others is one I truly need to remember!! I often find myself frustrated and shaking my head when I give and give and people just take and take. That's the one balance I need to work on in my life.
Great question ~ here's a star for you!!!

I do not understand your question well. but i know a little.

i think you should feel pleased, when you carve youself to satisfy some peoples. you do't need to make all people happy all of the time. and you also can not do that,
of cause, without dream. our life will be dull and colorless....

I know that statement to be true. Thankfully, I stopped carving before I resembled a lace curtain.

I totally agree with this statement... I try to live by MY core values and if those values entail pleasing or disappointing someone, so be it...n You have a great day as well...

Absolutely, Mr. King. You can only make yourself happy. Good luck to you.

Well my conclusion is that u can make someone happy but in the end u will realise that he/she used u to satisfy his/hers needs! (I'm not refering to u personally,I'm talking generally).Everytime I helped someone in the end I was the one who got hurt and it's a awful feeling.Maybe I helped ppl who wasn't worth it..I don't know..

Yes, I completely believe in that. "You Can't Please Everyone, So You Got To Please Yourself" as the song goes. I tried to please and change myself for so many people but when I hit 40, I decided if people didn't like me for the way I AM, then they can go............have a great evening!
