I have a snow globe collection (not much, just 18) but I heard from somewhere that if you have a collection and you sell it when you're older, it's gonna be worth more the cost when you bought them. Does that also work for snow globes? I also just started a coin and smiley things collection. Will that also work for those?

No, not really. The only reason something becomes collectible is that it's rare, and nothing will be rare anymore because everyone is collecting everything hoping to make a profit. Collect because you love something, and then pass it on to your grandchildren. They will love it because you did.

Meanwhile, I love these Pipka snow globes.

Collecting something you love is always fun. However forecasting their worth is tricky. Some collections hold their value better than others. I find that the more rare the item is, chances are in the future it will be more valuable. However, I collect movie and sci fi props. If you have a fond memory of how you attained an item (say like your grandmother gave it to you), it will be a tough decision to sell it. If you are collecting items to sell later.....I'd call it more "investing" than collecting. Collect something that you like and which brings a smile to your face.

no person. If i became in a snow globe i could drown and die and then the guy who owns the snow globe could say, "Why did I ever purchase this disgusting snow globe with a dull man or woman in it?"
