Generally, marriage results in emancipation and she's on her own.
Here's a link to a page that summarizes things nicely:

Generally, once a child is emancipated, child support is no longer required. However, any arrearage that you may carry will not be forgiven. Now, I don't know what Illinois says particularly on this issue, I'm only stating the general and most common rules regarding this type of scenario.

You should not have to pay child support to a legally emancipated child who is married and her husband supposedly has a job. Consult a lawyer to find out what your options are. In my humble opinion, your daughter is being selfish for trying to do this now.

Contact a lawyer in Illinois. I know you don't want to pay the money for one, but that is the only way you're going to get an accurate answer.

I don't know the answer to this. You might have to call someone up from the state on that.
However, I think it's absolutely unfair of her to expect you to pay child support. What about her husband, doesn't he have a job? Is your daughter living with you?

if she is emancipated then no you should not have to pay her child support as the whole idea behind emancipation is that a court has ruled that they are in every way mentally, physically, emotionally and financially able to take care of themselves and you are no longer responsible for them in anyway. in short a court had declared them legal adult with all the responsibilities that go with it. i am not a lawyer however i do suggest that you speak with one. i am someone who has worked adolescents and from that work what i put previously was my understanding of what emancipation was/is

If you owe back child support, then yes, she can take you to court and win. If you do NOT owe back child support, then no. She is emancipated and married. No longer your financial responsibility.

As a parent you are legally responsible for your child until they reach the age of 18. You should contact your local child support agency and ask them the question about child support.
