Consider how much room there is inside you right now. Do you think your baby's got any room to move? (nope is the answer to that)
Also, babies tend to get stiller when they're gearing up for labour. it's all natural. I'm guessing the head's engaged already, all you have to do is wait!

You cannot compare your baby's movements with anyone elses. Think of how it has been for the last couple of months. Is it an active baby? Has it slowed down drastically lately? Babies are all different and some may be more relaxed than others. It is only when your own babies pattern of movement changes or reduces then you can worry. Monitor the movements, my midwife says you should get 10 movements in 12 hours. If you do, then the baby is fine.

All of the answerers above are giving you good solid advice.
It is natural for you to become more freaked as the big day arrives but nature has ways to relax your baby for the turmoil that is to come.
If babes isn't too heavy try laying on your side with your hand under the bump. You will feel the movements that your nervous system is not responding too any longer.
Hope that you have an easy delivery and your baby starts it's life journey in style in a couple of weeks.

Hi at 36 weeks there isnt alot of room left for your baby to do any kicking really,as you come to the end of the pregnancy your baby will do more moving about and the quick dig you get will be the babys arms and legs trying to squeeze to a comfy position, all pregnancys are totally different and individual,im sure your baby is fine.Al the best

As long as you feel about 10 movements, no matter how small, during an hour of rest period, everything is fine. Chances are, your baby is just more active at night while you are sleeping instead of during the day. My boy doesn't move much while I am up and moving but as soon as I sit down, he moves so it's all good!

Your baby doesnt have much room to move and the amount slows down. As long as you can still feel at least 10 movements a day, even if he's not as active with them you will be fine.

Please, don't worry. When I was expecting I used to get worry because I was close to the end of my pregnancy and I never had a single contraction. Everybody told me that wasn't normal. But my son was born on time and is a healthy boy. So remember every pregnancy is different, and every baby, too. What's important is that the Dr. thinks that you are OK and you feel great. Probably you are carrying a nice quite baby.

every babies different make a kick chart that's what ive done under the midwifes instruction. all you need to do is put the time from 9am to 9pm vertically along the side in half hour intervals and the days along top and when baby has kicked 10 times mark the relevant square (hope i haven't confused you) and as long as the baby kicks 10 times in that space of time its OK. some times my baby has moved 10 times by half ten some times it takes it till 3pm

The baby is running out of room to move as much as it did. I am sure that it is ok. You do want to be sure you are still feeling movement though.
